Special Occasions
Have you got a SPECIAL OCCASION coming up? Are you getting married? Or perhaps you have a big birthday coming up (yeah, one of those big birthdays)? Taking a trip by train is a great way to celebrate - marking a landmark in your life by making a landmark journey.
Just think, when you do it by train, the celebrations can begin the moment you step on board. Snuggle into your couchette/cabin, order some champagne, and start perusing the menu for the dinner car.and that's all while the train is still standing at the station.
Where shall we go for our special celebration? The obvious is the Venice Simplon Express, the ultimate luxurious train trip, where dressing for dinner is de rigeur, but there are dozens of first class services covering Europe and taking you to practically any destination you can think of. Why not travel down the heel of Italy by train, and then catch a ferry over to Greece? Or catch the Brussels - Berlin sleeper train, one of Europe's smartest, newest services.
What better way to celebrate a special anniversary than with a tour of Japan? There is something very special about using new century technology to whizz between centuries' old castles and temples. With a rail pass to ride, let the Shinkansen waft you around one the world's most ethereal landscapes.
What about taking two awesome voyages in one? Embark on the Queen Mary 2 to cross the Atlantic to New York, before rail-trekking the squillions of miles of plains and mountains that make up the USA. The California Zephyr is one of the world's rail legends, traversing America as it does from right to left and top to bottom, and the creature comforts of American 'roomettes' or 'superliners' are justifiably famed.
Just retired? To celebrate, why not travel from right to left across Australia on the renowned Indian Pacific (so called as it crosses from ocean to ocean) from Sydney to Adelaide and thence to Perth. A once in a lifetime voyage...
It only remains for us to wish you a happy birthday, anniversary, wedding, or retirement.
You know where to find us when you're ready to book.
