Austrail Pass
If you are wanting to see as much of Australia as possible at a leisurely pace, the Austrail Pass gives you the flexibility of 15 or 22 days of non-consecutive travel within a 6 month validity period, enabling you to travel the entire Rail Australia network on the services of Great Southern Rail, Queensland Rail and Countrylink.
You can stop when you wish to enjoy the country without wasting any valuable days on your pass. Travel is not available on Brisbane CityTrain, Melbourne Met, Victoria's V-Line or WA's TransWA networks; however it is available for use on the Kuranda Scenic Railway and the Gulflander in Queensland and on all CityRail services operated by NSW State Rail.
The pass is valid for unlimited travel in Economy Seating for the applicable number of days purchased over a six-month period, starting on the day the pass is validated (first day of actual travel) and use of the pass must begin within 6 months of the date of issue.
A travel 'day' is a period of 24 hours, or less, from the scheduled departure time of a service, eg an overnight trip 2100/0900 is regarded as one 'day'.
Travel cannot commence on the evening prior to the first 'day' and the final journey needs to be completed before midnight on the last 'day'. Upgrade to a sleeping berth/business class/first class seat is allowed, subject to availability, and surcharges apply (upgrade fares available on request). Fuel surcharges apply on all Great Southern Railway journeys. Full conditions and important travel tips are detailed on the Pass at issue.
Please call the number on the contact us page to pre-book any journeys onto your pass in advance. If journeys are reserved at the same time as purchasing the pass, only fuel or upgrade surcharges will be levied. If you wish to pre-book sectors at a later date, a small per journey per person charge will then be made.
Passport numbers are required when booking all passes.
Please read the Terms & Conditions and Refund policy before your purchase.
