Artesia Overnight Train Services to and from France and Italy.

The Artesia provides daytime and nighttime connections between Italy and France (Paris and Lyon).

Smoking is forbidden on all Artesia trains.

Day trains

Daytime trains are powered by TGV rolling stock. There are first and second class seats, a bar car, and a snack service on Artesia day trains. The daily routes include the following city pairs:

Night trains

There are no seats on Artesia Night Trains. On night-time trains passengers have the choice of sleeping cars or couchette cars. For an additional cost, all passengers can enjoy dinner and breakfast in the dining car. It is not necessary to make a reservation for dinner.

Couchette and Sleeping Car Accommodations include:

  • 2nd class couchette car - 6 Berth: Normal Couchette Services includes attendant and wake-up service. A small bottle of mineral water is offered.
  • 1st class couchette car - 4 Berth: AC Comfort Couchette Service includes 1 attendant for 2 cars. A small bottle of mineral water is offered.
  • Universal Sleeper - 3 Berth: Universal sleeper features one shared wash basin and a toilet in the car shared by all passengers. Breakfast and a newspaper are offered.
  • Universal Sleeper - 2 Berth: Universal features one shared wash basin and a toilet in the car shared by all passengers. Breakfast and a newspaper are offered.
  • Single Cabin

Please note: The ticket: To travel on Artesia trains a ticket and a seat reservation must be purchased. The tickets are therefore only valid for the day and train booked.

Pre-sale The ticket can be purchased up to three months prior to the date of departure, at authorised points of sale.
